Originally commissioned by Third Act Minnesota for their inaugural renewable energy festival entitled SUN Day, out to dry began as an interactive piece of dance performance developed by a new and evolving collaboration between three women brought together by chance and kept together by creation.

Kate Sebes, Holly Trenbath, and Elise Wilson, now known as O.V.A (Other Various Artists) came together to discuss the standing of the sun and wind, both psychically and politically, to create a vocabulary bank of movement associated with words as extensive as life-giving, center, mother to those as customary as shadow, sunburn, and mayday. These movements were then expanded upon and translated to the audience through accessible and repeating gestures, in an effort to express how personal the Sun really is. out to dry is work that promotes solar and wind power, showcases that both are resources that must be respected, utilized to their fullest potential!
